Sriracha, the kitten, has not had an easy start at life. Because of a neurological disorder, she has problems walking stably and sometimes gets seizures causing her to shake uncontrollably. Thankfully, her good friend Batman, a small-sized pig, is there to save the day.
The little black cat and perky piglet currently stay at the Rancho Relaxo rescue organization, where they enjoy spending a lot of their time together, playing around without a care in the world.
“Sriracha is our special needs foster kitten. She has a neurological disorder called CH. Feline cerebellar hypoplasia is a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that results in walking and balance problems,” wrote Caitlin Cimini, the President and Founder of Rancho Relaxo, on the organization’s Instagram profile.
The rescue center workers claim Batman has an incredible superpower – he can tell when Sriracha is in distress during a seizure. When he picks up on the cat’s suffering, Batman walks up to his friend, presses his body against hers and calms her down by steadying the tremors.
“I swear he knows she has had a bad couple of days and feels the need to comfort her!” wrote Caitlin. “Sriracha gives Batman a bath every single day… They truly love each other so much. It is so moving.”
The Rancho Relaxo website explains that its “sole mission is to help every animal we possibly can. We will not stop until their voices are heard.” The small, non-profit rescue farm is situated in New Jersey and is collecting as many donations as they can in order to help out the dozens of animals inhabiting on the farm. Caitlin started Rancho Relaxo with only one horse thrown at her mercy, but nowadays she owns rescued animals ranging from chickens to goats, ducks, cats, pigs, sheep and many, many more.
