Beyonce and Jay-Z made an appearance at the 59th Grammy Awards, which meant that their five year old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, was there to cheer on her famous mom, who was nominated for a total of nine nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.
The daughter of the musical mega-stars showed up in an adorable tiny pink ruffled suit, which happened to also be inspired by and a tribute to the late pop star, Prince. She spent a lot of the time with her father, Jay Z, mingling with A-list celebs, and all around just having a great time.
Blue watched performances intently and cheered on when her mother received the awards.
The spitting image of her father, Jay Z, Blue Ivy’s excitement at the award show was palpable throughout the night.
An excited Aunt Ri Ri (Rihanna) came to say hello to Blue and Jay Z.
Host James Corden came up to Blue to personally say hello:
Blue even showed up and joined her mother when Beyonce took the stage in performance, along with her grandmother, Tina Knowles. Together they represented three generations of strong women while Beyonce performed a song dedicated to motherhood:
Obviously, since James Corden hosted the award show, everyone was waiting for a Grammy edition of his famous Carpool Karaoke segments. Using a cutout shaped like a car, Corden recruited several celebrities to join in on the live version of Carpool Karaoke. These included Faith Hill, Jennifer Lopez, Jason Derulo, John Legend, and even Neil Diamond in order to sing a rendition of “Sweet Caroline.” Many of the celebrities did not know all the words to the song, which made the performance awkwardly funny. Towards the end, an adorable Blue Ivy ran up to the fake car and joined in the fun, dancing along and stealing the show.
