Prince Harry Is Planning To Use Diana’s Gems For Meghan Markle’s Engagement Ring

It seems as though Meghan is really getting the royal treatment! Prince Harry has taken his late mother’s (Princess Diana) tiara to a jeweler to turn it into a stunning engagement ring for his girlfriend, and soon-to-be fiancee Meghan Markle. The love-struck couple first set off romance rumors back in October, and they two are now on the fast-track to walking down the isle.

Prince Harry and the beautiful 35- year old Suits actress were recently caught attending the wedding of Harry’s close friend in Jamaica, where onlookers caught the two in their own little romantic world. Since returning from their pre-honeymoon getaway, Harry has been hard at work planning his epic proposal to the actress. According to news sources, Harry intends to use his mom’s emerald gems from a tiara she wore in 1999 during her tour in Australia. A source close to the family said, “After Diana died, the boys both chose a keepsake from Kensington Palace when they moved to Charles’ room in St. James’s Palace.”

The insider went on, “William picked his mom’s Cartier watch, and Harry picked her sapphire and diamond engagement ring, but they had an agreement that whoever got engaged first would have Diana’s ring — and of course that was William and Kate.” Conveniently Markle’s favorite jewel is emerald, so Harry felt it only fitting to work with a jewelry designer who could turn the People’s Princess’s green-jeweled headband into an engagement ring for Markle. “For Harry, like Wills before him, using his mother’s gems means the two loves of his life will forever be linked,” the unidentified source said.

Harry has been slowly but surely introducing his soon to be fiancee to his inner circle of friends and while some are warming up to Meghan others aren’t as fond. Harry’s dad, Prince Charles, has ordered Harry to stay away from Markle. We hope Prince Charles allows his son to pop the question.
