Therapy Dog Visits Sick Patients in Hospital to Spread Christmas Cheer

A sweet dog named Sancho has caught the attention of social media after someone Tweeted about the therapy pup’s Christmas outfit. The holidays are always an important time to bring cheer to everyone and this canine’s efforts to help the patients of this hospital is very adorable and inspirational.

Sancho volunteers along with his owner at San Gabriel Valley Medical Center in California and when one Twitter user’s mom, who apparently works at the hospital, sent her pictures of the dog’s Christmas outfit it spread like wildfire and was retweeted thousands of times. Buzzfeed were able to contact the hospital and speak to a representative who told them that Sancho buzzes around his toy VW car to spread cheer to the patients and that he has his own special-issued hospital ID badge. It just keeps getting cuter!

“The patients are delighted to see him come down the hallway in the VW,” the hospital representative was quoted as saying.“Everybody loves it, everyone looks forward to the dogs coming in,” she added.

Sancho’s Christmas outfit isn’t his only one – he regularly dresses up for various holidays and has an array of fashion attire. Here he is cruising around San Gabriel Valley Medical Center in his Hawaiian shirt, which is apparently one of his favorites.

Julie, who tweeted the original photos, said it has been “cool” to see people’s reactions to the photos and how heartwarming it’s been to bring happiness to so many people just by sharing her photo online.

“The pictures are so cute and you can tell that it makes people happy and it makes them smile just looking at it,” Julie said.
